This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey Nate, its Craig from CBI class. Love your work, and Ive been really drilling my head hard into the artistic career path I want to choose and at this point, the life of a comic book illustrator really attracts me. Other classes I still seek to minor in are 2d animtion, concept art, and video game design. When you told us you joined the CBI industry this late, I was like "whoa, he went off to war for uncle sam for a bit teaching gruff G.I Joesomebodies, then armed with pencil and pen went out and took some hits but came back improved each time" My point is, that your story really inspired me to seriously not fear the industry and the competition. Its not that its ball-in-cup easy,more like bowlingball-in-sippy-cup competitive. But thats not going to make me want to sell DVDs at target. NO! NO! NO! NO! t just gets me fired up and wanting to make blow-your-brains-out and oh-shit-this-is-insane art that gets readers hearts pounding, brains crashing, and pants creaming...rofl, if possible. Deal is I dont want to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, peditri-something in the buisnesses with the giant UC s and ivy-whatevers. I want to go here to Academy. Pump up my drawing skills and take it to new heights.I'm in love with the comic-book culture and the fact "as prementioned in my in class sermon" it takes the normal person out of reality and chases away the stress by putting them some-where else. In my early childhood to teens, I had alot of issues with self-confidence, social contact, self-identity, a whole alphabet soup of troubles and pains that really inhibited me from achieving or doing anything. But when I look back, it was the heroes and stories of comics that really gave me hope and optimism for my life. At 8 years old,having a single parent,missing father figure, and living with elderly most of the time I watched alot of educational shows, but in my spare time I watched Beast Wars and Sailor moon. Just the mixture of genres and the ideals and morals presented each episode really got me wanting more, more escape and more knowledge and lessons that would build the person I am today. Then came comic-books stores, merchandise, magazines, ans much other stuff.
Yeah, I'd say more, but I'm sorta falling apart here from sleep deprivation and crash from energy drinks hehe.(thats why my grammar sucks and it loooks like im rambling = u =;
One last note:
To me, the comic book isnt just an art form, an entertaining piece of visual literature,or an expressive media. It's the fans/readers portal into another world that can change their day. Whether its making them laugh, making them cry, or making them sigh and dream of their own adventures... I feel I can honestly get messages across and help many people who like me, need an escape from life sometimes. Something they can relate to and help them move along in this crazy party called life. I can never and wont stop emphasizing this fact.
Peace Nate,See you later yo!

You planning on going to Sac Con or San Diego. I'm working on a DC submission right now hoping I can get enough funds together to go to San Diego. What companies do you think I should make submissions for? I heard Marvel has stopped taking submissions due to the economy. What companies would stand a better chance at landing a job with?
